- Teacher Forum has asked each PTA to donate a basket to be auctioned off at an upcoming DD2 Education Foundation event. Mrs. Golden noted PTA does not have a line item in the budget for something like this. Questions were brought up regarding if this is an appropriate use of funds and if it matches the ENES PTA mission statement to serve the students of ENES. Mrs. Golden noted that PTA does have some items suitable for a smores basket and perhaps a compromise can be reached to use minimal funds while still showing support as part of the district. No more than $50 has been allocated for this event.
- Teacher Refresh Grants were published 2/23 in the staff Eagle Eye. $100 reimbursement grants offered to any teacher who serves students provided they are a current PTA member. Link to membership was provided along with the reimbursement form. As of 1/29/26 7 teachers have submitted reimbursement forms. The deadline for submission is 2/6/26.
- Eddie’s Closet is in need of boys pants, specifically larger sizes.
- Teachers have asked about the condition of the PTA room. Many items have been dropped into the space by staff in other classrooms and never retrieved. Mrs. Brown will speak to those classes to see if additional storage is needed or if those items can be thrown away.
- Funding Request Mrs. Brown informed PTA that ENES has been approved for two full time music teachers next year. This addition combined with the age of the school necessitates purchasing additional musical instruments and music catalogues. PTA agreed to make music instruments and equipment their school project focus for the year.
- Mrs. Vaughn and Mrs. Hamilton presented a plan to establish a student run coffee cart that will be open two days a week. The cart will be staffed by 4th & 5th grade students who have applied, interviewed and been accepted. Criteria includes, good academic standing, parent permission, recommendation from 2 teachers.
